MIT announced today that they are dropping eight sports as a cost saving measure. Wrestling was one of the eight. In each of the past two seasons, MIT has had an All-American. This year’s All-American, Joe Silverman, will be a senior next year.

You’ve got to be kidding me another one? Something needs to be done. We are in a recession now but if a lot of people give in a small amount of money, the program could potentially be saved. Cmon, lets show how much we care about the sport.
For a school that has a little under a ten billion dollar, that’s right BILLION, endowment it is ridiculous that they are cutting any sport and a campus with such high participation in all sports. Especially one that was just becoming to become competitive having there first two all Americans in back to back years.
