Senior All-American Stanley Bleich Defeated Two Top-3 Nationally Ranked Opponents to Win his 101th and 101st Career Matches

As the number of teams competing increases and three conferences have started their schedules, the Wrestler of the Week award returns. The first d3wrestle.com Wrestler of the Week for the 2020-2021 season is Stanley Bleich of Baldwin Wallace. In the season debut for Baldwin Wallace, Bleich helped the Yellow Jackets to a 2-0 record against Otterbein and John Carroll. Ranked 6th by the NWCA at 149, Bleich wrestled 157 on Sunday where he defeated NWCA #1 Ryan Whitten of Otterbein and #3 Sam Gross of John Carroll. The wins were the 100th and 101st of Bleich’s career.

Bleich, a senior from North Ridgeville, Ohio, is now 101-20 for his career and 2-0 on the season. He is a 2x NCAA qualifier, 3x regional placewinner, and 2020 Central Region champion. He was also named Ohio Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for his performance. Baldwin Wallace takes on Ohio Northern and Wilmington on Sunday as the OAC schedule continues.
