Head Wrestling Coach

Position Summary:
Develop and maintain an effective and competitive intercollegiate Wrestling program through the
recruitment of quality student athletes and successful coaching of those individuals. In the recruitment
effort, incumbent will be a representative of the total institution, with all of the factual knowledge and
sensitives required by that representative.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of collegiate wrestling coaching
- Demonstrate the understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophy
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Be a person of high moral character
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and be able to work with diverse populations, including but not limited to people of all ages with various ethnicities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- Five plus years of collegiate coaching experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing a budget
- Demonstrate a familiarity with national trends and best practices, undergraduate retention programs and practices, academic support services and campus climate
