Penn College announced Pankil Chander as the Williamsport, Pennsylvania, school’s next head coach. He takes over for Jamie Miller who had the position since the 2017-2018 season. Chander comes to Penn College after two seasons as an assistant at Springfield, and he also had previously coached at Gettysburg and Bloomsburg. Chander wrestled for Wilkes University, graduating in 2017.
Chander Named Head Wrestling Coach
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College has named Pankil Chander its head wrestling coach, it was announced Friday.
Chander comes to Williamsport after spending the previous two seasons as the assistant coach at Springfield College and had stints as an assistant coach at Bloomsburg University and Gettysburg College.
“Pankil is the perfect blend of a wrestling technician with a forward-thinking holistic mindset, which will help maximize our student-athlete’s experience, both in and out competition,” Penn College Interim Director of Athletics Matt Blymier said. “His passion and energy will serve our campus and our community well as we begin the next chapter of Penn College wrestling.”
