The Titans have a great returning group, which includes 2x All-American Mark Choinski and Upper Midwest Regional place finishers Colten Cashmore and Corey Knudsen. The Titans also include its largest incoming class with a total of 27. The incoming class includes a Fargo All-American, 3 State Champions, 5 State Place-winners and 7 State Qualifiers. The competition in the room will be high and the Titans look to improve on last seasons 29th finish at the NCAA Championships.

Season Outlook:
OWU enters its first year competing after being brought back in 2017-18 and will be wrestling in open and invitational tournaments this year. For the first year of competing the roster is made up of mainly of Ohio wrestlers but there are representatives from Connecticut, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and California.

Wrestling was a varsity sport at Ohio Wesleyan in the 1920s and again from 1956-84.  Ray Leech ’49 reformed the wrestling team when he joined the Ohio Wesleyan faculty in 1954 and oversaw it for 30 years, coaching 16 Ohio Athletic Conference individual champions along the way.  In 1984, with Leech retiring and Ohio Wesleyan leaving the OAC to help form the NCAC, wrestling was discontinued.
