Utica Men’s Graduate Assistant position

Utica University is searching for a men’s graduate assistant coach. The position includes a stipend of $6,700, 12 graduate credits per year, a meal plan, and campus housing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Adheres to Utica University Athletic Department philosophy, including knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Provides and advises student athletes of obligations and requirements under said philosophy and NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Plans and runs daily practices sessions and periodic individual training sessions to ensure players are learning team concepts and safety issues while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
  • Monitors players’ academic success, providing direction when necessary, including providing for or arranging necessary academic help services.
  • May be required to teach physical education classes each semester as assigned by the Athletic Director.
  • Manages equipment usage, orders and maintains uniforms, etc. Scouts opponents, tape exchange, etc. Assists Athletic Director with game scheduling, transportation, and coordinates publication of team media guide. Contributes time and assistance to Booster Club, if appropriate.
  • Recruits prospective student athletes giving them an opportunity to compete and to better themselves as athletes and individuals.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Wilkes Assistant Head Coach position

Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position supports the men’s wrestling program by overseeing all aspects of team operations and ensuring compliance with NCAA Division III, conference, and institutional guidelines.

The successful candidate is responsible for recruiting prospective student-athletes; planning and conducting practices and competitions; supporting student-athlete development and retention; supervising part-time assistant coaches and interns; monitoring academic progress; and assisting with additional departmental responsibilities as assigned.

A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in sports management, education, or a related field, and a master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will have prior collegiate playing or coaching experience, demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division III and conference rules, and a strong commitment to the Division III philosophy. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Nebraska Wesleyan head coach position

Nebraska Wesleyan University is seeking a head men’s wrestling coach for a 10-month, full-time position. Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, organize and oversee recruiting efforts with prospective student-athletes: attend recruiting events, recruit evaluation, emails/mailings/phone calls, on campus visits.  Review recruiting reports from Assistant Coaches and discuss with Admissions Office and Athletic Director. 
  • Hire and supervise assistant coaches/support staff.
  • Coordinate with the strength and conditioning staff to develop appropriate athlete conditioning curriculum.
  • Plan and lead daily practice sessions for student athletes while developing assistant coaches’ skills for assistance. 
  • Oversee and manage the wrestling training facility and serve as primary communicator to the Director of Facilities for any necessary maintenance and repair requests. 
  • Build and provide individualized development plans for student-athletes which foster growth athletically, academically, and socially.
  • Oversee and schedule compliance meetings, ensure appropriate record keeping for recruiting and playing/practice seasons, and monitor eligibility of student-athletes in the program
  • Other administrative reporting will include scheduling, expense reporting, and budget management, equipment inventory & request of necessary purchases.
  • Oversee the coordination of summer camps and clinics, coordination of all fundraising activities and alumni outreach.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the NWU Men’s Wrestling leadership values and ensure that short- and long-term objectives are in line with program goals.

Head Men’s Wrestling Coach

Recent coaching moves: Williams & Utica

Williams College recently announced Ryne Morrison as the next head coach of the Ephs. Morrison had previously been the head coach at St. John Fisher where he restarted the team for the 2022-2023 season. The Ursinus graduate had previous assistant coaching stops at Adrian and Heidelberg. Williams returns four NCAA qualifiers from last year’s 9th place team.

This week, Utica College announced Pankil Chander as their next coach. The Wilkes grad had spent the past two seasons as associate head coach at Wilkes after serving as the head coach at Penn College for the two seasons prior. He also coached at Springfield and Gettysburg. He won 91 matches as a Colonel and was an NWCA Scholar All-American. Utica enters its 4th season of competition in 2026-2027.
