Reece Lefever at the Knox Duals

The d3wrestle.com/WWSport.com Wrestler of the Week for this past week is Reece Lefever of Wabash. Wrestling at 157 lbs., Lefever finished 4-0 at the Max Servies duals this past weekend to help host Wabash to a matching 4-0 team record at the event. After a pair of lopsided wins against Ohio Northern and Platteville, Lefever defeated three time NCAA qualifier Ryan Warczynski of Dubuque by a 6-1 score and finished the day with a 12-4 major decision over Joseph Atwell, a 2012 NCAA qualifier from Central.

Lefever, a sophomore from Fort Wayne, Indiana, is in his first season at Wabash after transferring from Indiana Institute of Technology. He is currently 24-2 with both losses coming in the opening weekend of the season where he finished 4th at the Concordia Open. He was the champion of the Indiana Little State tournament and was a finalist at the North Central Invitational, forfeiting to his teammate in the finals. He is currently ranked 9th in the d3wrestle.com Rankings. Lefever and the rest of the Wabash team are off this weekend before heading to the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational February 1st and 2nd.
