Kean-NJCU merger to affect wrestling teams
Kean University will merge with NJCU as of July 1st, 2026, and all NJCU students will become Kean students. The NJCU campus will be renamed Kean Jersey City. The men’s and women’s wrestling teams at NJCU will be merged into those in place at Kean that started competition this season. NJCU began wrestling in the 2020-2021 season and currently has 17 men on the roster. Jeff Johnson qualified for the 2022 NCAA Championships for the Gothic Knights.
