TCNJ became the 6th program to reach 800 dual meet wins at the National Duals this past weekend. Springfield, Wilkes, Wartburg, Olivet, and Lycoming are the five prior schools to reach the milestone. The win was the 165th of current head coach Joe Galante’s career and gave the Lions a 10th place finish at the NWCA National Duals.

Last week, Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania, announced the addition of men’s and women’s wrestling for the 2026-2027 season. The school has posted a Director of Wrestling job and intends to bring on a pair of full-time assistants in the next year. Eastern is a member of the Middle Atlantic Conference and will be the tenth men’s team in the conference. The school has approximately 1,200 full-time undergraduates and also recently added football and women’s flag football.

We are eager to find a Director of Wrestling that can start these programs from the ground floor and build programs that can compete in a competitive MAC. With the rich talent in the State of Pennsylvania as our foundation we are confident we can hit the ground running in the sport by offering a Christ-Center education just outside the city of Philadelphia. The addition of men’s and women’s wrestling enhances our ability to recruit student-athletes from all over the United States to join our diverse community.”
