Head Coach Tom Layte returns for his 8th season on the bench at MIT, and looks to again have a full lineup with six starters back from last year’s team. Conference placewinners Joe Silverman at 197 and Sean Jameson at 285 will be dropping to 184 and 197, respectively, in their bid to improve on last year’s finishes at the NEWA tournament. After a runner-up finish a year ago that left him just shy of the NCAA tournament, Silverman hopes the lower weight will have him wrestling in Iowa in March, seeking MIT’s fifth All-American award. Coach Layte has set goals of a winning record and top half finish in the 2008 NEWA tournament.
