Newcomer Stevens and defending champion Messiah look to be the top two teams in the Southeast. Stevens returns 2019 All-American and 2018 finalist Brett Kaliner along with two-time All-American Troy Stanich. The Ducks have five wrestlers with prior NCAA experience with Poklikuha (165) and Van Sickell (157) joining their three 2019 qualifiers, and freshman Slendorn is ranked in the top ten at 133. Messiah also returns three 2019 qualifiers along with 2018 qualifier Redington (125).

Corl (Lycoming, 157) was a 2018 All-American at 149, while Rush (Delaware Valley, 133), Hutchinson (York, 149), Reyes (JHU, 165), and Ramirez (SVU, 285) all qualified out of this region in 2018 but missed out last season.
