Season outlook:
With only one wrestler graduating from last year’s lineup, the Pointers are set up for a nice season in 2012-2013. All-American Joe Mileski will be missed, but a pair of national qualifiers return in Ben Strobel and 2x qualifier Jordan Schulte in the middle of the lineup. Seven of the returning starters finished in the top three in the WIAC last season, so even those who missed qualifying were knocking on the door. Time will tell how this group fares against the very tough Midwest region when March rolls around. There is also a nice freshman class coming in that features numerous state placewinners, but it might be tough for any of those new wrestlers to get into the lineup this year. However the future is bright as those new wrestlers gain experience in 2012-2013 that will serve the Pointers well in the future.
