Season outlook:
With a lot of talented wrestlers back and a strong group of freshmen coming in, this should be an improved year as Head Coach Ned Shuck enters his second season at Heidelberg. Andy Lovins returns at 197 (after football) after winning the OAC and qualifying for the NCAA tournament last year, as does 2011 qualifier Andrew Johnson at 149. Three other OAC finalists just missed the tournament including Delian Schneider at 125, Justin Wharton at 165, and Chris Osborne who lost in overtime to All-American Malave of Mount Union. Of the freshman, both Colin McDermitt and Nino Majoy were state finalists last year and should help to bolster the lineup that should be able contend in both the OAC and the new Mideast region.
