York Preview

A pair of national qualifiers will lead York College this season, as seniors Kyle Flickinger and John Niedrich return for one more shot at All-American honors.  Flickinger placed 6th in 2007 before missing last year, and Niedrich lost in the All-American round.  Both topped 25 wins last year and should find themselves in the national rankings right off the bat.  The rest of the team includes a few returning Metro placwinners, though York will have to replace talented senior 285 Luke Panizzi who knocked off the top seed in the first round of the NCAA tournament.  The York wrestling room will not be lacking in practice partners, as the team currently has 57 on the roster, including a large group of freshmen as well as a few tranfers of note such as PA state placewinners Brian Thomason and JC Laughlin.
