Nick Carr

The d3wrestle.com Wrestler of the Week is Nick Carr of Washington & Jefferson. Carr won the 165 lbs. title at the John Summa Invitational at Baldwin-Wallace this past weekend. He won three matches to take the title, including a 5-2 win over Brockport’s Roy Daniels, the #5 ranked wrestler in the latest d3wrestle.com Rankings.

Carr is now 4-0 this season for the Presidents after transferring from Division II Seton Hill after the fall semester. The South Fayette, Pennsylvania, native was the 2010 AA state champion and wrestled for two seasons at Kent State, compiling a 12-4 record in 2012 and at 21-10 record last season. Washington & Jefferson next takes the mat on Friday against Thiel and Waynesburg in the PAC Championship meet.

  1. 1st of all they, are the presidents… and Carr (a D1/D2 transfer) gets wrestler of the week for beating the #5 kid in his weight in overtime? There must not have been many other choices. Maybe he can get NAIA wrestler of the week next semester!

  2. Crazzzzy… I am not trying to discredit your opinion. But Carr is wrestling up 2 weights because of seniors in the line up and Daniels is a solid wrestler. So he wrestled at Kent and at Seton Hill? This week he wrestled DIII and he was successful. That’s what this was acknowledging.
