Weekend Results 1/29-31

A matchup between #2 Wartburg and #14 Coe highlighted this past weekend’s action. A fall at 141 by #2 Kristian Rumph over #4 Riley Wright proved critical in a 23-21 win for the Knights. Kobe Woods secured a major decision at 197 to put the dual out of reach in a match where each team had five wins. Coe picked up three wins over higher-ranked opponents with Alex Friddle winning at 125 over #10 Brady Kyner, Josh Gerke winning at 149 over #10 Brady Fritz, and #10 Kaleb Reeves pinning #2 Jordon Brandon.

Olivet won seven weights in the four-team MIAA individual Championships, and Castleton topped New Jersey City University in the first match ever for NJCU. Former Rutgers and Rider wrestler Rob Cleary picked up the first ever individual win for the Gothic Knights.

  • George Rodenhaber says:

Alvernia college heavyweight was 34-2 last year with 22 falls. Both losses to current top 10 ranked wrestlers by a total of 6 points. Beat current honorable mention Alt Boulhari from Deleware Valley by major decision last year. How is Rodenhaber not ranked??? Someone needs to do their homework.
