Official Title: Assistant Wrestling Coach
Location: University of Wisconsin Oshkosh – Oshkosh, WI
Working Title: Assistant Men’s Wrestling Coach
Compensation: $33,000

Responsibilities:
•Assist in planning and organizing in-season practice sessions.

•Facilitating academic meetings and grade checks for student-athletes.

•Assist in competition day planning and set-up.

•Assist in oversight of all practices and competitions.

 •Assisting in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes on and off campus. •Recruiting effectively in guidelines set by the University, Conference and the NCAA.

 •Assist with alumni relations and community outreach •Work with marketing team on game day environment and community outreach initiatives. •Assist in planning and organization of camps and clinics.

•Assist in fundraising efforts for the program and the Athletics department.

•Assist in planning and organizing off-season conditioning programs.

•Other duties as assigned by head coach and/or athletics department

•Game management and other duties as assigned by athletics department.

Assist in developing and maintain an effective and competitive intercollegiate wrestling program through the recruitment of quality student athletes and successful coaching of those individuals. In the recruitment effort, incumbent will be a representative of the total institution, with all of the factual knowledge and sensitives required by that representative.UW Oshkosh provides a competitive benefits package for all benefit-eligible positions.
Bachelor’s degreeDemonstrated knowledge of collegiate wrestling coachingDemonstrate the understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophyDemonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulationsValid driver’s license or the ability to obtain oneEffective interpersonal and communication skillsBe a person of high moral characterDemonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and be able to work with diverse populations, including but not limited to people of all ages with various ethnicities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic backgrounds
