Roosa named head coach at Misericordia

Former King’s College head coach Josh Roosa has moved 10 miles up the road to nearby Misericordia to start the new men’s program at the Dallas, Pennsylvania, school. Roosa spent the past three seasons at King’s following a five-year stint as an assistant at Appalachian State. He coached eight NWCA Scholar All-Americans at King’s, and the Monarchs placed five at the 2023 Southeast Regional.

Misericordia announced the addition of men’s and women’s wrestling on August 10th, becoming the seventh MAC school with men’s wrestling and the fourth with women’s wrestling. Ken Chertow will coach the women’s team, and both programs will begin competition in the 2024-2025 season.

Roosa was a two-time state placewinner at nearby Crestwood High School and went on to become an NCAA qualifier for Bloomsburg University.
