Graduation has hit the Hawks hard, leaving them with just three returning starters, and 2008 national qualifier Jared Czarneski will compete in the second semester. The squad has 22 returnees and a roster of 40, but only a handful have been regular starters. Anthony Cirello, Dustin Conner, Nick Herrick, Jay Mahoney, John Battista, Robbie Crothers, Jon Manwaring, Chris Nadeau, Nick Cambi, Dillon Lawler, Chris O’Shea and Ben Kissane are all veterans who will need to step up. The freshmen class is a very good one with quality grapplers from top wrestling states. Several newcomers project to start and the squad could start a number of freshmen for the first time in several years. The wide open weight classes are creating some interesting battles between returnees and newcomers. Even though they have lost some starters, RWU always has a large, experienced roster that will help them work toward a 14th straight winning season and a spot near the top of the NEWA standings.
