The MyHOUSE Wrestler of the Week is Josh Thomson of Messiah. Thomson won the 184 lbs. championship at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational this past weekend in dominating fashion. He pinned his first four opponents before defeating Parkside’s Montrail Johnson, the #7 ranked wrestler in Division II, 10-1 in the finals. He helped Messiah to a third place team finish and was named the Outstanding Wrestler at the event.
Thomson, a senior from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is a three time All-American, finishing 3rd as a freshman, 4th as a sophomore, and 3rd as a junior. He recently set the Messiah College career records for both pins and wins, and now sits at 161-18 for his career with 58 falls. His record this season is 28-2 with both losses coming at the Midlands in December. He won titles this season at the Messiah Open, Roger Williams Invitational, Messiah Petrofes Invitational, and the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational. The third ranked Thomson and the rest of the Falcons take on York College in a dual meet on Friday night.
