Mazzocchi steps up at King’s
Christian Mazzocchi has been named head coach at King’s College after spending the last nine seasons as an assistant at the school. The 2014 King’s grad replaces Josh Roosa who led the Monarchs for the past three seasons. Mazzocchi wrestled for longtime King’s head coach Ned McGinley before joining the staff after his graduation. He stayed on ever since and will enter his 14th season as a wrestler or coach at the school. He becomes just the fourth head coach in the program’s history.
“Christian has been an integral part of this program for many years. He wrestled for the legendary Coach McGinley before moving into an assistant coaching role. Along the way he consistently demonstrates his loyalty to King’s and to the rich tradition of our wrestling program. Christian embodies what it means to be a Monarch, and we are lucky to have him step up to take on this new role.”
