Season Outlook:
After the team’s best finish at the Division III Championships in 16 years thanks to All-American performances from seniors Nolan Barger and Seth Lansberry, the Warriors return with one of their strongest teams in the 24-year tenure of head coach Roger Crebs. Barger was ranked second by d3wrestle.com throughout last year before finishing third at the NCAA Championships and he will again be among the best in the nation at 165 pounds. Lansberry rose as high as fifth in the d3wrestle.com poll before taking fourth at the NCAA Championships at 149 pounds and he will also be set to compete for a national title this year. 174-pounder Brandon Conrad also placed sixth at the NCAA Regional and the Academic All-American gives the team another grappler set to compete for an NCAA qualifier, while three other starters return from a team that posted a 14-7 record in 2015-16.
