Lakeland University – Head Coach – Wrestling

Update from Lakeland

Bera resigns as Lakeland head wrestling coach

Dillon Bera has resigned as Lakeland University’s head wrestling coach to explore opportunities outside of coaching.

Bera served as the team’s interim head coach in the 2015-16 season before being named the program’s full-time head coach. He was at Lakeland for three seasons, having served as an assistant coach in the 2014-15 season.

Bera coached two Lakeland national qualifiers, Eddie Terres and Mitchell Fucile. In 2016, he was named the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association District 8 Coach of the Year, the first Muskies coach to receive that honor since Pete Rogers.

Bera came to Lakeland after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He started his coaching career after a four-year collegiate wrestling career when he was a four-time NCAA Division II All-American at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside from 2010-13.

A national search for a new coach will begin immediately.
