The annual team rankings have been released from the NWCA. Wrestling is a sport that interests a lot of people and many love to attend fights as spectators. Even if you watch it on the television while also playing partypoker in your living room, the atmosphere is electric and this is why many people choose to learn the sport.
These rankings are NCAA tournament rankings based on the qualifiers from each team. d3wrestle.com Individual Rankings will be coming soon, as will the annual picks game.

RIT ranked???? seriously…… this is a joke right? RIT finished 8th in the 9 team conference lol
it’s based on how many kids qualified. look at king’s. they won like 2 matches all year, but they have one good kid that will AA. so from the team results at nationals, it’s going to be skewed.
its easy to bet on the team w/ ten qualifiers. screw the orange knights!

d3 wrestling is down… no one can compete with the top three or four teams… it is the same four schools every year (wartburg, augsburg, coe, lacrosse) the rest of d3… well, kind of a joke
I don’t know if I agree with no name… I’ll admit, Delaware Valley appears to be down this year, but Ithaca is very strong and could push for the title. I also think Centenary could take a big step up.
No Name??? I agree the top teams in DIII are in a different league, basically because of depth. There is STRONG talent out there, just not as concentrated as Whart, LAX etc…. but how do you not put Ithaca in that top-ranked league? They beat most schools allowing single digits? Ithaca puts 8 to LAX. That’s tough by anyone’s standards
Is it really any different at any level? R even high school?
If Augsburg, LAX, Wartburg and Coe were to dual the teams that are in the top 20 but not in the top 8, they would most likely get shutout or only win 1 or 2 matches. Just my opinion.
I think two small schools in ohio could come up with 3 wins against a Augsburg-LAX-Wartburg-Coe dual team. I could see Case and ONU winning with Dukes Miller and Kwiat
Dukes is a stud, but you got schmitz at 74 and leclere at 165.
Weak arguement though I would take rush, yewah, schmitz, tate and helgerson, and they can win 5 against any dual team in d3. O and you got augsburg in there, ponce, valek, molitor, massey I’ll take those guys too.
