Here is the first set of d3wrestle.com rankings for the 2016-2017 season. In this set of rankings, no freshmen or transfers from outside of Division III are listed. Weights are based on the best information available at the time. Any wrestler who is not planning to compete until the second semester will not appear in the rankings until he first competes.
I believe Zeke Stroupe at W&J has graduated
Rice from hunter at 133 has graduated
Jon Has will win 125 from brockport , transfer in
Did Hass come via Bloom?
I think Stowell will beat Hass
Did anyone search castleton Vermont, that team is loaded this year, Hale at 141 is a two time finalist in d2, look out 125, 149, 157, all those kids are multiple time new England winners , four time state champs, and all Americans in d2 and d1. Don’t forget to watch for Bohle at Springfield, he lead his team in s.c in wins last year, knocked off 8-10 d1 kids, 4 of those finished in top 16 in country, job luc lemiuex from Roger Williams is a major threat as well, and there is a ton of series talent coming in as freshmen from all over new England, I’d wager alot of the names and castleton college I just named are going to make a major impact this year.
Excited to see Castleton so strong right away this year. As a note, no freshman or non D.III transfers are listed in our first rankings. Hale is on our radar as a returning NCAA D.2 qualifier and I’m sure he’ll be on the list soon. As for Lemieux it’s our understanding that he may not be wrestling this season.
Has from brockport was a force in high school had injuries to deal with he should have won a. Nys title. He wrestled at d1 Bloomsburg not sure why he transferred but was a starter and competitive in d1 so how is he. Not an AA? Next rankings he should be in top 5
