  1. I would like to nominate Luke Lohr (149) and Brandon Fedorka (285) for all-freshman team. Lohr went 34-5 for Waynesburg after replacing an injured Jesse Byerly for the 149-pound spot. He reached the d3wrestle.com rankings and came one match short of going to nationals. He won individual titles at the Summa, Waynesburg Invitational and PAC Championships. He won 15 matches in a row at one point and had quality wins over Brian Leggett of West Liberty, Rocky Barilla of Johns Hopkins and Elijah Golding of SUNY Brockport.

Fedorka put together a 19-6 record after joining the team following the conclusion of wrestling season. The first-year standout at Waynesburg picked up wins over Bobby Christopher of Gettysburg, Logan Renas of Olivet and John Wilkinson of SUNY Brockport on his way to qualifying for nationals. He won individual titles at the Summa and Midwest Regionals, but missed PAC’s with an illness.

    Thanks for your consideration!

  2. Great grammar. Fedorka is a national qualifier, you get that from winning a regional title. He stood toe-to-toe at nationals with the fifth-place finisher from Mt. Union, but dropped 5-2.
