Click below to see the first set of d3wrestle.com Rankings for the 2015-2016 season. All of the usual caveats about early rankings apply here. There are no freshmen or non-Division III transfers in the first rankings. Any wrestler who is not scheduled to compete until second semester will not appear until he steps on the mat for the first time. Wrestlers will continue to be ranked at the weights they actually wrestle, with changes made as necessary. Much of the information used to generate these rankings came from surveys sent to all head coaches, but not all coaches chose to complete the survey. Wrestling begins this Sunday, so enjoy another year of Division III wrestling.

d3wrestle.com Ranking #1 – October 28, 2015

Corrections:
1. Abegesah of Cornell at 197 is erroneously listed as being from Southern Maine
2. Two wrestlers from Cortland were mistakenly listed at 157. This will be corrected for Rankings #2.

  1. Mirman was listed on the team preview, however he is not currently on their official roster so it would appear that he may be a 2nd semester wrestler.

  2. Sonnieyboy Blanco from W&J should be in there somewhere at 174 4th at regional lost in OT to an All American from RIT to go to nationals. All 3 from region placed.

  3. Great job with early rankings.Saw you have Sonnieboy listed at 165. Great job with this site. Thanks from all D-3 fans.

  4. Wrestling starts for everyone but the Centennial Conference, which is intent on hobbling its members with archaic, counter-productive rules!

  5. surprised to see White from Ithaca (174) ranked ahead of guys like Ressler, Shermot, Gillen who all placed ahead of White in the region and at least two of them beat him head to head last year. White didn’t even place for that matter while Ressler was the region champ!

  6. Haha you’re a joke, how is steiert ranked ahead of hensel?? Hensel stuck him in less than 2 minutes.

  7. whats the difference between these and intermays ranking? Gunter from bw is ranked at 133… is going 133??? RIC heavyweight from last year isnt even ranked.

  8. If there is a tougher weight than 141, tell me – WOW

    7 returning AA
    5 returning NQ
National Champ is not even listed – coming back 2nd semester.
    # 133 – AAs moving up??

Now you know why last year’s returning National Champ (Loht) didn’t even make it to the finals – Brutal

  9. Bill,
Last year’s national champ, Cary Palmer, will not be back. He transferred to D2 Embry Riddle. Loht, Jones and Ferinde all graduated so not sure where you’re getting those numbers from…but yea, tough weight either way.

  10. There are 8 returning All-Americans listed at 141:
    Van Anrooy
    Steger
    Binion
    Adcock
    Border (133, 2014)
    O’Boyle (133, 2014)
    Behnke (2013)
    Nehls (133, 2014)

  11. PA Power,
Not a tough weight – Brutal.

8 AAs and with the other NQs….

Show me another weight even close.

Where did I get those numbers?? Facts before you type (Forget the Nat’l Champ)
