2014 Academic All-Americans

Six wrestlers have been named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America At-Large Teams for 2014. Josh Etzel of Washington & Jefferson, Cody Lovejoy of Ohio Northern, and Matt McCrary of Wheaton were all named to the First Team. Etzel is making his second appearance on the first team, while Lovejoy and McCrary were second team members last year. Also recognized were second team member Eric Twohey of La Crosse and third team members Jeffrey Holm of Olivet and Kaleb Loht of Messiah.

Loht was the 141 lbs. NCAA Champion this season. Lovejoy was 7th at 285 and won the Elite 89 award for highest GPA among national qualifiers for the second year in a row. Twohey was 8th at 184 lbs., while Etzel and Holm qualified at 157 and 184 respectively. Etzel was the 6th place finisher at 157 in 2013. McCrary placed 6th at the Midwest Regional at 174 lbs.
