Season outlook:
First year coach Corey VanGroll had a nice start to his head coaching career as he ended the year celebrating the program’s first ever NCAA Champion as Greg Sanders upset defending champ Kodie Silvestri to win both the 149 lb. title and the Most Outstanding Wrestler award. He and former high school teammate and fellow NCAA qualifier Sean Ambrocio each have two more years left to help Concordia continue to improve. Marcus Lubner returns for one final season after a pair of injury shortened campaigns in 2012 and 2013. With Sanders and Ambrocio leading the way, and a solid group of sophomores gaining experience, it should be another successful season at Concordia.
