Season outlook:
Oshkosh rode a senior-laden team to a 9-4 record last year and qualified four to the NCAA championships. The highlight of the season was sophomore Nazar Kulchytskyy avenging an earlier loss in the NCAA finals against a 3x finalist to give Oshkosh its first NCAA champion just two weeks after Kulchytskyy became the first Oshkosh WIAC champ since 2001. He is back this year, and it looks like he will be at 165 this season. Schiferl returns at 174 after dropping a razor thin 3-2 match in the All-American round last year. With ten seniors graduating, the underclassmen will have to step up and aid in the rebuilding process, but it helps to have the likes of Kulchytskyy and Schiferl to lead the way.
