Season outlook:
For the first time in 10 years the Wildcats failed to send a wrestler to the NCAA National Championships and broke a 6 year streak of returning home with an All-American. That being said, the Wildcats will return 8 starters, 7 of them Conference place finisher from last year. They will also see Colin Lenhardt a 2010 National Qualifier (Granted Hardship Wavier- Before Injury Lenhardt was 16-2 with 12 falls) return and move up to 184 lbs. and 2011 All-American Bill Mulligan makes his return at 197 lbs. by January. The incoming recruiting class should make earning a starting spot for JWU very interesting. The Wildcats will see big changes in their lineup this year, especially in changing of weight classes. The 125 lbs. Conference placer Joe Pronk will move up to 133 lbs. The biggest moves will come in the upper weights where, Colin Lenhardt will move into the 184 lbs slot. This will cause a push down effect by mid season. The 184 lbs. Conference placer Connor Nelson will move down to 174 lbs. Conference Finalist Sean Prell will move down to 165 lbs. Conference placer Frank Marotti will move down to 157 lbs. Incoming Freshman and Transfers will be looking to shock some potenial starters by mid-year, so JWU line up may look very different by years end.
