Season Outlook:

Thiel returns all 10 starters from last year’s 15 dual meet win season. Thiel will welcome back a couple familiar faces, Adam Matthews at 141 and Stephen Ceremuga at 184, along with some talented freshmen. Vince Vahaly will continue to lead off for the Tomcats at 125, but will be pushed by sophomore, Giuliano Graziosi and freshmen, Nick Davis. Robert Ritschard will be going from 141 where he placed 4th at the Mideast Regional last year to 133. Nick Sutton will be up from 133 to 141 where he was fourth the past two season s at the Regional. He will be pushed by junior, Adam Matthews who was 18-3 in 2013 and freshmen, Jason Miller who was sixth at the PIAA championships in 2014. Chris Nuss returns at 149 with an impressive freshmen year with 25 wins and wins over two national qualifiers a year ago. Seniors, Brandan Collins and Sean Byham will hold down 157 and 165, possibly switching roles this season, both were sixth at the Mideast Regional in 2014, Byham was a Scholar All-American a year ago. Junior, Marco Crivelli will carry the load at 174, being pushed by classmate Tyler Wilkes, and senior returning All-American from 2013 will finish his career at this weight or 165. Senior, Jerrold Roosa will be at 184 again where he compiled 28 wins a year ago and had wins over a two national qualifiers, he will be pushed by junior, Stephen Ceremuga and freshmen, Branden Dice. Returning All-American, senior, Jacob Lowry will look to improve on his third place finish a year ago, he will be pushed by classmate Jacob Trillow and freshmen, Phil Kyle. Junior, Blake Heim will be the go to guy at 285, but will be pushed by classmate Tyler Hendzel.
