It was a wild day of wrestling at the US Cellular Center. Two unseeded wrestlers made the semis (Paulish and Miller), while two former finalists were eliminated (Djoumessi and Vanderhyde). Some teams also had a wrestler place for the first time in a while. See the following list:
Etown – Tyler Erdman, first since 1996
Messiah – Craig Gin, first since 2003
Southern Main – Mike Morin, first ever
Wheaton – Toby Boltz, first since 2003
Lakeland – Adam Sutter, first since 2002
All-Americans by conference
Centennial 2/11
Empire 10/15
Great Lakes 17/26
Iowa 20/33
Metro 4/16
Midwest 8/15
New England 5/14
Ohio 2/11
Wisconsin 12/19
More to come. Wrestling starts at 10 with semis and consolations.
Over 60% of the AA’s are out of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin or Illinois. Nice work “heartland”!
What happened to Bonander the number one seed at 197lbs.? He lost twice to unseeded wrestlers.
Congrats to the New England guys. Malo and Paulish in the semis; Morin, Lenhardt and Silverman are AA.
5 AAs does not really tell the whole story.
Bloom, Sutherland and Martini all came within whiskers of AA, wrestling great from very tough spots.
P.S.
Paulish was a steal for fifty points in the Fantasy game.
A steal if he wins in the semis…a bargain if he takes 6th.
Go Phily 184!
Bring it NE
Lenhardt is one of Thomas Jefferson’s guys just up in NE
The webcast is not working anyone know whats going on?
WebCast stinks
I can’t get webcast. Any ideas?
Just a quick note, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference also got an AA, Corey Brown from Thiel finished sixth and beat Clemmer from DVC.
My bad, the PAC is part of the Midwest. I misread the post.
