CCIW Championships (Elmhurst 101, Augustana 77, Wheaton 41, North Central 38)
Another Thursday Result: Elmhurst won the CCIW championship. Bout by bout results here: http://northcentralcardinals.com/documents/2012/2/9/Bout_by_Bout.pdf?id=1614
Thanks for the update. Those results are now included. Big upset at 174 with Augustana’s Jordan Richardson winning over #10 Danny Balderas of Elmhurst
Agreed–Balderas made some mistakes that cost him. I’m happy that Elmhurst won, but I also think it would have been a better tournament if NC had their full team. (My sympathies go out to the entire NC community who are dealing with last weekend’s tradgedy.)
What happened at North Central last weekend?
Some maniac knifed three guys at a local bar: a student-athlete at NC, a 2011 NC grad and a bouncer. The recent grad, who was an area elementary school teacher, died, and the athlete (football I think) was seriously injured. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-3-seriously-hurt-in-naperville-bar-stabbing-20120204,0,4409890.story
