Mount St. Joseph Preview

Mount St. Joseph put a wrestler in the finals at 149 for the 2nd straight year in 2008.  Elliott Spence fell to Jacob Naig in the finals, finishing as a 3x All-American.  Back this year are Eric Meyer, Chad Craft, and Pat Truster.  Midwest runner-up Meyer won 40 matches at 133, and he moves up to 141.  Craft is very good on his feet and is back after a 4th place regional finish at 184.  Pat Truster rounds out the top returners for the Lions.  He was 2nd in the Midwest last year at 197, though he moves up to 285 for 2008-2009.  It will be a young team for MSJ alum and Head Coach Casey Stouffer, but the experience of the top three will help pull the others along.  25 freshman join the roster this season, and 5-6 of them could see time as startes in 2008-2009.
