Mizer steps down at Muskingum

Zach Mizer has resigned as head coach at Muskingum University after seven seasons at the New Concord, Ohio, school. Muskingum has posted an immediate opening for a head coach. Though the school has not made an announcement of a coaching change, an Instagram post this week from an unofficial account run by members of the team reported Mizer’s resignation.

Mizer joined the team in 2014 after assistant coaching stops at Buena Vista and his alma mater Heidelberg. He was a national runner-up and OAC champion for the Student Princes. He coached Jordan Burkholder who in 2019 became the first NCAA qualifier for the Muskies since 2008.
