Ithaca returns a young, but talented team for 2008-2009. All five of their national qualifiers are back this year, with four from last season and 2007 All-American Justin sefried returning for a full season at 141. Jon Gregory was the lone All-American last year at 125, but he is joined by qualifiers Blaine Woszczak at 149, David Priest at 174, and Willie Horwath who moves from 141 up to 157. This is a talented team with no seniors projected in the starting lineup, so they will be good for a while. Last year, they tied Cortland for the Empire Conference championship, a deadlock they hope to break this year. A nice group of state placewinners joins the young team as Coach Marty Nichols aims to contine the proud wrestling tradition at his alma mater. Pennsylvania placewinner Chris Carabello is the lone projected freshman starter at 197, but other incumbents will be pushed by those on the list below.
