Hiram College to add wrestling

Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, became the third DIII school to add wrestling this week following announcements from Roanoke and Emory & Henry. Hiram previously had a team from 1954-1987 and will be adding women’s wrestling along with restarting the men’s program. Athletic Director Todd Hibbs previously coached at Olivet College and was the first coach for the reborn Alma College team in 2011. Hiram competes in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Wabash and Ohio Wesleyan are the other schools in that conference with wrestling. The men’s team is set to compete in the 2020-2021 season with the women starting in 2021.
