Things start to shake out a little bit as the season’s first month comes to a close. This is the time of year when people who have not yet competed start to drop out of the rankings unless there is credible information that supports keeping them in. Also, this ranking points to there being a certain amount of parity at a few weights. When reading our rankings, it is important to remember that one win or loss does not determine where a wrestler is ranked. The body of work (including last season) plays a strong role as well.
Phil Ernst, an Honorable Mention at 197, is erroneously listed as wrestling for Wesleyan. He wrestles for Roger Williams.

Great job on the ranks of Tomac and Oyster from NC, both looked fantastic at olivet duels.
What is going on with Chris Albright at York? I see that he is no longer on their roster. Also, I am obviously not very well schooled on D III to D I transfer rules. I see that Ryan Malo is already eligible and starting at Virginia. Is this usual?
Anyone know what’s up with Schulte from UW Stevens Point? He hasn’t competed since their season-opener tournament. I see he’s still ranked as a contender in spite of this. Is he injured? Will he be back this season?
Albright has ‘lost his fire’ according to his dad.

Scholten from Augustana is on the roster, but doesn’t seem to have wrestled. Is he hurt?
Wouldn’t mind seeing Oyster and Nazar again…they faced off at the Lakeland Invite.
Watch out for oliveto (125) from oneonta…the guy handled fleck from wilkes , pinned evans from gettysburg and beat huber from plymouth despite injury.
nice win against fleck & evans 4 sure… huber???? not ranked & he got pinned by santana quintana… very nice credentials 4 sure… off 2 a very nice start 4 a freshmen.. lots of luck 2 this young man..
Oilcheck, I notice Oliveto didnt go this weekend, is he still injured ?
