So blasioli beats braswell, and braswell is ranked higher?
McGiffen of millikin beat #6 Loras at 184 and doesn’t make top 25. these rankings are terrible
Midweek matches did not factor into these rankings- the rankings were completed before we had the results and numerous results from this week will indeed affect the next ranking- including McGiffen over Liegel, results from Olivet v. Baldwin Wallace where there were a number of big wins, Everson from Loras back in action, etc., etc.
The Blasioli result is a good argument, but as you can see in the NWCA rankings (Blasioli not even top 10)- one head to head win doesn’t always mean that the wrestle is ranked ahead of another wrestler- the body of work is considered including Braswell’s wins over other top 10 individuals and wrestlers that have actually AA’d in the past. Either way it’s not a perfect science and the argument for Blasioli over Braswell is valid and noted.
Watch for 184 Daylan Schurg Wabash 8-3 over #2 Glatzman today.
Cornell Beachem 174 needs to be on that list. True title contender!
Beachem from mount Saint joesph is the real deal at 174
Beachem #174 is Transfer from noter dame college. NCAA D2 qualifier as true freshman last season. With that I have seen him wrestle and do agree with ty he is a real contender.
1/31- 2/1( Pete Wilson Wheaton Invite), 2/7( Heidelberg @ MSJ), 2/8( John Summa Invite) Wabash will be there, 2/15( Mid- states Invite) Wabash will be there. Plenty of opportunities to make a case. In two years, the Lions will be among the kings( top 10).
When does the next set of team and Individual rankings come out?
