Jason Brew of Olivet was the top finisher for a limited squad from Olivet at the Eastern Michigan Open this past weekend. He won four matches to match the top all-time finish for an Olivet wrestler in the event. Other Olivet wrestlers including Kyle LaBrecque competed and picked up some wins. Coach Todd Hibbs comments on Brew’s performance, “It was a brutal weight class, with DII returning champion Guerra of Findlay finishing fifth.” Also, “several frosh and Labrecque were able to pick up a couple of wins, which was good experience against a talented field.”
Olivet is back in action at the Muskegon Open this weekend.
