Borchers Awarded Scholarship
Brian Borchers, the 2008 NCAA D3 runner-up at 285 lbs. was announced as one of 58 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship winners for the Winter season. He is one of 4 wrestlers, and the only D3 wrestler to be awarded the $7,500 scholarship this year. The NCAA annually awards up to 174 scholarships split evenly between senior men and women, so this is a great accomplishment considering the nearly 400,000 NCAA athletes competing each year.
