UW-Oshkosh Preview

Previously posted season previews are available by clicking the link in the left hand column.

After a season that saw UW-Oshkosh get their first All-American since 1999, Coach DeRoehn looks to the future with a strong recruiting class and an equally tough schedule for 2007-2008. UW-O again wrestles the Wisconsin Badgers and makes its first appearance in the National Duals. Four top 4 finishers from the 2007 WIAC return, including 30 match winner Justin Schmalfeldt and University of Wisconsin transfer Scott Rhoads. Heavyweight Jake Stebnitz returns after a medical redshirt year to try to build on his 27 win freshman campaign in 2006. Perhaps one of these will make it two years in a row with an All-American for Oshkosh.
