Season outlook:
York will be looking to follow up a record-breaking season that saw the team achieve 25 dual meet wins and bring home three All-American awards. All four NCAA qualifiers from last year are gone as the Spartans try to reload for 2012-2013. Last year’s starters at 125 (Giaccio) and 133 (Glatz) both placed at the Metro tournament, and each is headed up a weight class this season. Following them in the lineup at 149 could be 2x JUCO All-American Vinny Pisani. He was a 2x NJCAA All-American in 2009 & 2010 before spending some time on Edinboro’s team during the 2010-2011 season. Another top returner is Kyle Minogue at 197 who put up 25 wins a year ago. With York’s typically large freshman class, the team should be well-suited to fill in the holes left by four NCAA qualifiers and put together a successful season.

Follow up a record breaking season with 25 dual wins and three All-Americans.
Will need to replace 4 National Qualifiers and 3 All-Americans. Huge freshman
class with 39 incoming wrestlers and 5 returning starters. Excited for new
regional qualifier as we head west with mainly Ohio schools (Mid East Region)
Looking to improve on 2nd place Metro finish and continued success at the Mid
East Regional and National Tournament.
