Team Outlook:
The Rhode Island Anchormen return one NCAA qualifier in Shawn Giblin, but have a good group of NEWA placewinners  hoping to join him at the NCAA championships in March. Giblin will start the year at 149 before descending to last year’s weight of 141 for the second half. A few tough transfers join RIC this year in brothers Jonathan and Silas Murray and Silas Cole. Jonathan was 3rd in the NEWA for Bridgewater State last year at 125, while Silas was an NJCAA All-American in 2008 for Nassau Community College. Another All-NEWA selection in the lineup is Kevin Barrucci at 157. He won 25 matches a year ago and should be a force this season. The freshman class is led by a trio of high school New England placewinners that will compete for starting spots as well. With trips to the Desert Duals and Budd Whitehill Duals, the lineup will definitely be tested.
