Lakeland Preview

Lakeland found its way into the national rankings last year with a strong young team that returns most of its strength from a year ago.  National qualifier Paul Hartt graduates, but NCAA alternate Adam Sutter is back after a strong 2007-2008.  Sutter was a fixture in the rankings and defeated three All-Americans, including champion Dan Laurent, during the regular season.  He hopes to finish stronger in 2009.  Regional placewinners Jonas Flok, David Copp, Kory Theil, and Ben Chapman are all back as well.  A trio of state placewinners join the Muskies in 197 lb. transfer A.J. Aronstan from NY, 3x WI placer Ryan Renon at 157, and WI placer Sam Delain at 125.  In addition, state qualifiers Josh Deluca Tyler Laturi, Robert Forgette, and Mike Perl join up in 2008.  These newcomers will have troulbe cracking the lineup on a team that has moved from young to experienced over the past few years.  Lakeland has had one All-American and two national qualifiers in its history, and this team hopes to add to both of those numbers this year.
