Congrats to Danny Balderas of Elmhurst. Going from unranked to 4th is quite an accomplishment!! IIRC, he beat both Banks and Conat at Concordia (seeded 2nd and 3rd, respectively). After waiting behind an AA last year, he’s stepped into his predecesor’s shoes with a vengence!
Let’s just shake things up a little at 125 with jimmy Gotto beating Austin Mogg 9-5.
Nice win for Gotto. Kohawk, how did he stack up against Clayton last year?
He did ok. You have to try to keep perspective though. A freshman up against a senior is in most cases like a boy vs a man maturity-wise… A year can make a world of difference.
Is Baxter from St. Johns staying up at 197 all season?
Who has McNeil (125) beaten to be ranked over young men who have proven themselves at the national level?
Way to go Gotto!!!
I have to agree with don….this kid is good but who has he beaten? Whats up ranking commitee? You should do better!
Joe Camlin of McDaniel College gave Derick Hesson of Mt. Union all he could handle at the Messiah Tournament on 12/3/11. Derick only won by one point. We should see Joe Camlin’s name on the top 10 list ASAP.
