* 17th season working with the RIT program 10 as Head Coach / 7 as an assistant (1989-95).
* 7 All-Americans @ RIT
* Coached the all time win leader at RIT, Luke Baum 146 wins
* 35 years involved in collegiate wrestling.
* 21 years assistant coach at the University of Buffalo, help lead UB to the 1977-78 NCAA Division III Championship as an assistant coach
* Overall he has helped coach 42 All-Americans
* Inducted into the Corning-Painted Post NJCAA Hall of Fame
* Inducted into the New York State Collegiate Wrestling Hall of Fame
* Inducted into the University of Buffalo Hall of fame
* In September 2007, Stever was inducted into the New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame
* Stever has also co-authored a book on the sport of wrestling with Ed Michael from the University of Buffalo. The book is titled “Winning Leg Wrestling.”
