Brad Bowman

Class of 1977

Brad Bowman was the 1975 NCAA champion at 177 pounds, helping lead John Carroll to its first and only NCAA team title. A three time All-American, Bowman also won four PAC titles and three National Catholic Invitational championships to go along with an .842 winning percentage. In 1990, he was inducted into the John Carroll University Hall of Fame.

    Dear Royalle,
    I had to wrestle your father everyday in practice. He was as tough as a tiger and never ever gave up. He had an arm drag that he could hit from just about any position;: didn’t matter if he was on his feet, knees or stomach….plus he had what we old timers use to call a head shrug, that he could hit at will! I agree 100% that he is one of the best wrestlers in the history of JCU wrestling.
