GRADUATE ASSISTANT – WRESTLING
Defiance College, an NCAA DIll institution, seeks qualified applicants for an anticipated opening for a graduate assistant wrestling coaching position.
Responsibilities include serving as the primary assistant to the head coach; recruiting; match/practice planning and preparation; fundraising; assisting head coach in all phases of student-athlete development and evaluation;
academic monitoring; and other duties as assigned.
This is a two-year assistantship with a start date of August 1, 2023. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, have previous collegiate wrestling or coaching experience, possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record. The successful candidate must be
accepted into the Defiance College graduate program in
Education (MAE) or Business (MBA) and will be awarded
a full graduate school tuition scholarship covering a maximum of 36 credit hours. Applicants pursuing a
graduate degree in Education must hold a teaching
license to be eligible for the MAE program.
Compensation includes stipend, College-provided housing, and a meal plan on campus when meals are served to students during the academic year.
